Places to go and see in the area

    Holiday Florida is conveniently located  in west central Florida northwest of Tampa Bay on the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Tarpon Springs/Pinellas County Line, with access to the Gulf of Mexico on the west from the Anclote River Park, Gulf Park, and Key Vista Park in Holiday. The city of New Port Richey to the north, and Trinity to the east.

   Tahitian Gardens is located on US Hwy 19, where you will find all of the more popular restaurants, some local eateries and many shopping plazas. A CVS is located near the front entrance and Publix supermarket is one block away. There are two hospitals within a few minutes drive.

    The area caters to the mostly retirement community. You will always find something to do, either on the resort, or nearby. Tahitian Gardens always has some kind of activity going on. Check the resort's web site at http://tahitiangardens.net/ and click on calendar of events.

    A cars is convenient, however, Pasco County has great public transportation. A bus stop is located out front at the resort entrance. There are many popular tourist attractions nearby. Tampa Zoo, Florida Aquarium and the Busch Gardens are in Tampa. Weeki Wachee Springs is home to live mermaida and swiming with the manatees. Tarpon Springs is home to the popular Sponge Docks and "Greek town".  Hudson Beach, Robert Reese Park, Anclote River Park, SunWest Park, Hudson Beach and Moon Lake are just a few recreational attractions.
